Friday the 13th

Today, is Friday the 13th. People think it is “a day of bad luck”. I just see it as any other day (you see, I am one of those people prone to bad luck, so a particular day of “bad luck” almost seems like everyday). I’ve accepted it, so it’s all actually not so bad really. Some people just have harder luck than others. 🙂 All we can do is think bright thoughts.

But I digress.. Today is Friday the 13th. It also happens to be my last day of work at my job (after 4.5 years). I’m scared because I’m in the process of finding a new job (something more along the lines of a career). However, I’m going to REALLY miss this job. More so the people.

You see, my boss(es) and the people that I work with are not only “people I work with”. They’re like family. My boss especially is very much the “motherly” type, and she’s not only helped me to grow, but she’s supported me and been there for me like family.

Everyone here has also encouraged my growth as a worker, but also as a person, and I know they are sincere when they say they’ll miss me.

The only thing making Friday the 13th an unlucky day is because it is the day I have to leave my second family. 😦

I’m really going to miss you! Hanging out in the morning while drinking coffee and eating whatever treats someone brought in has been a great way to start the day off.

Good luck finding a job! Let me know if you need help.

PS- if anyone knows about bad luck like you, it’s me! Ha.
