Transit Of Venus

Today, was a once-in-a-blue moon type of day. Venus was passing by the sun in our direct view, and with the proper viewer, we could watch this event!

Here in Hawaii was the only place in the world where we could view it from start to finish–a whopping 6 hours!

Down by the beach they had tents set up. The local university was passing out viewers and had telescopes set up to view the Transit of Venus! It was a pretty exciting day! The BF and i figured we should go since it pretty much occurs once in a lifetime!
