Butter Mochi

Personally, I’m not a fan of mochi, (and that’s kind of self-disgracing since my ethnicity is Japanese-American, born and raised in the US) but I like to try different styles in hopes that one day I’ll actually like the stuff. Hahahaha

I mean, don’t get me wrong–mostly every style of mochi I’ve come across looks delicious, but it’s just when I get to the eating part, I find that I really don’t care for the texture and then the taste. I don’t know why.

Today, I tried Butter Mochi. It has a better taste than regular mochi, but of course, the texture is what turns me off and it still has a funny taste to it. This looks really good though, right?
