Urban Decay’s Vice Palette!

I had seen the Vice Palette on Urban Decay‘s website a few months ago. I was debating on getting it because I’ve never spent a whole lot of money on any type of makeup. The palette is $60 regular price. However, as I was trying to decide if I REALLY wanted to try this palette, Urban Decay announced their once-yearly Friends & Family sale! This meant that I’d get 20% off of anything and EVERYTHING. This meant that palettes that never go on sale, like this Vice Palette, would be 20% off! I had already watched plenty of YouTube reviews and read plenty of online reviews on this palette for about a week, so with the sale, I decided to bite the bullet and get it. The sale brought the palette down to $48.

I liked the palette because:

  • It looks like a MAC palette (very professional and sleek)
  • It has ALL brand new colors
  • Newly formulated eyeshadows are supposed to be better than the old formula
  • It was cheaper than buying all the colors seperately
  • It features very nice neautrals AS WELL AS some really nice brights
  • The sale made it the cheapest it will ever get
  • It’s good for travelling because it’s compact but still offers a wide array of colors

Here’s what it looks like:

The names of the colors from left to right are:

  • 1st row: Desperation, Muse, Jagged, Blitz, & Penny Lane
  • 2nd row: Junkie, Chaos, Occupy, Unhinged, & Black Market
  • 3rd row: Provocateur, Rapture, Vice, Noise, & Armor
  • 4th row: Nevermind, Echo Beach, Anonymous, Freebird, & Laced

The palette comes with a double-sided brush which is nice because you basically have 2 useful brushes in 1.

Also, there’s a button on the palette casing that you can press and it slowly opens the palette up and the full sized palette mirror. This makes it feel very fancy and look very professional.

So far, I’ve been using the palette and I really like it! The newly formulated shadows and colors are so pretty too!
