Made The Leap To Paperless Billing

May 6, 2013 Leave a comment

I finally made the jump to paperless billing! I always ended up not doing it because I felt safer with paper bills and having a hard copy. Now, I feel like I’ll be better off with paperless billing because I always end up not opening the bills (because I check them and pay them online) and then having to sort through and shred all the unopened paper bills later. Wooooo!

Did my taxes today! The IRS was recommending that people wait until 1/31 to file taxes just to make sure all the updates to the laws were made.

I decided to be diligent about it, so I did my taxes today! Woooooo! Yay for being done!

Getting My Finances On Track

February 5, 2012 Leave a comment

After much thought and analysis of my current financial situation, I’ve decided to get financially organized. I’m still relatively “young” but I’m concerned about what I want for my future in terms of savings, debt, a home, retirement, and things of that sort.

I’ve spent some time browsing online and in store for some good personal finance books. I picked out a few, and the first one that I’ve started to read is called “Young, Fabulous, and Broke” by Suze Orman.

She’s pretty well known in the financial world. I’ve also watched her TV show a few times and I like what she has to say and the advice she gives.

I know a little more than most people my age, considering I went to and graduated from the business school in my college. I know that these books aren’t a sure-shot guide to financial freedom, but I do know that it offers pretty good financial advice that I can apply to my own life as a guideline to bringing myself to a financial high.

So far, what I’ve read has been helpful, and some of it has been stuff I already know and practice. I’ll let you all know how the book is overall after I finish it!
