My Gel Case For My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

September 1, 2012 Leave a comment

My new case came in for my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 tablet! I bought it off of eBay. The gel case fits okay but it’s way less bulky than the leather case that I had bought off of Amazon. This means that it’s easier for me to get to the on screen buttons in the corner of the screen.

The leather case goes right up to the edges of the screen so it’s hard to hit the buttons. But with this case it doesn’t block the way of my fingers getting to those buttons.

The only thing about this case is the holes don’t line up EVER SO SLIGHTLY. It’s not bad, but it’s not perfect.

I also have a screen protector on it so it’s pretty protected.

My New Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 In WHITE!

Today, my new tablet came in! I ordered the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (this is a 7-inch tablet).

This is the “student edition” from Amazon (only the student edition comes in WHITE so far and it also came bundled with a keyboard dock AND a USB connector so you can connect your flash drive or anything else via USB port!).

You can find the student edition tablet here on Amazon: SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2 IN WHITE STUDENT EDITION

I bought it from here for $250 + free shipping! Good deal with the keyboard AND for it being white!

Some of the good specs:

  • It’s 7-inches
  • MicroSD Card slot
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • DUAL CAMERAS (one on the front. and one on the back-3MP)
  • TouchWiz
  • 0.76 lbs
  • 1024 x 600 screen resolution
  • wifi enabled

I’ll post a review on this later, but so far I REALLY like it. 7-inches seems to be a perfect size after handling a 10.1 inch tablet. I also love the fact that it’s white and that it matches all my other electronics. The tablet is android-based so it syncs up perfectly to everything on my phone. It fits in my hands comfortably and it’s not heavy. Check it out if you have the time!

Google’s Nexus 7! An AFFORDABLE Android Tablet!

I’m so stoked about Google launching their new 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet! The 8GB version is only $200 (and the 16 GB is only $250), making a tablet easier to own for a smaller price tag! It’ll come with Android’s newest OS, Jelly Bean. There are pros and cons about the tablet so make sure you read about it first before jumping the gun.

For instance:

Pro–Quad core Tegra 3 processor, Con–No micro SD card slot.

Pro–A 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, Con–No rear camera

It’s very much up to you how you feel about what would be a pro and what would be a con. I personally think after reviewing all the specs for the tablet, as well as the pros and cons, that it is a very good device for what you’re paying. Plenty of value for a relatively small price tag.

Also, keep in mind that a device like this is not meant to compete with an iPad. It’s not built with with specifications to be comparable to a high end tablet. Google released this to hit the niche market of buyers who want a cheaper tablet but still have something of good quality.

You can find more info on it HERE directly from Google!

So, go and check it out and let me know what you all think!
