Tsunami Warning For Hawaii

October 27, 2012 Leave a comment

There was a tsunami warning issued for Hawaii tonight. It was due to an Earthquake in Canada.

The projection is headed straight for Hawaii.

So far, we’re safe but the waves could be up to 2 meters or 6-7 feet!!! 😦 Be safe all my Hawaii people. I’ve already evacuated to higher ground. If you’re in an inundation zone, you REALLY should have evacuated already.

Eggs Benedict

Had Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict from Eggs N Things tonight. This is he second time I’ve had eggs benedict. It’s not bad. Not super delicious. But not bad.

I think maybe I need to find a place that makes REALLY GOOD eggs benedict. Then, maybe I’ll think it’s better has it has been so far.

Pumpkin Patch!

October 22, 2012 Leave a comment

Yesterday, we went to the local pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins. It’s hot. There’s too much red dirt. And you do A LOT of walking. But. I LOVE doing this. It’s more about the experience than anything else… 🙂

^ This is ONE of the patches you can walk through at the farm.

^ I went with my brother, his wife, and my little nephew. He LOVED it there! Aren’t his little red boots cute???

^ He picked out the lumpiest, ugliest, pumpkin, but it was still the cutest thing ever!!!

^ It was just so cute watching the nephew. He had a blast at the patch!

^ He even got to take a picture with the tractor! He loves cars and any kind of car-type machines.

^ Saw a lot of broken, rotting, pumpkins too…

^ And my sweet BF lugged around the cart and all the pumpkins we picked out. Through all the dirt. In the blazing hot sun. LOL

All in all, it was a very fun day! A very, dirty, fun day!

  • State Wt Tax: $58.80
  • County Fee: $20.50
  • County Wt Tax: $168.00
  • Beautification Fee: $7.00

TOTAL: $299.30

Man! Does it cost this much to register your 2009 Camry?

Crab City In Kaimuki

July 25, 2012 Leave a comment

Tonight, we went to Crab City in Kaimuki and did a small take-out order. Crab City is like the other crab restaurants, like Kickin’ Kajun, Raging Crab, or Hot And Juicy. They all serve seafood that’s boiled/cooked in butter and Cajun sauce. However, Crab City’s sauce is the only one that is rich and tasty versus red and oily. The sauce was very garlic buttery. A lot of other places I’ve tried are just red and oily and not as tasty.

We got garlic butter clams and a basket of deep fried calamari with Cajun fries.

We did take-out but the place has ample room for customers as well as plenty of TVs on all of the walls! I’d definitely sit down to eat!

Anyway, try it out and let me know what you think!

Kickin’ Kajun’s King Crab Legs!

June 9, 2012 2 comments

MMMMMM! Tonight, the BF suggested we try this place called “Kickin’ Kajun“. I don’t know if you guys have ever heard of Hot N’ Juicy in Las Vegas, but it’s like that! (Hot N’ Juicy was also on Man Vs. Food or something of that nature. It was on TV so their pretty popular and well known). They serve all kinds of seafood, boiled in their special spicy cajun sauces, including a garlic butter sauce, which was what we had!

We also added on 4 corn and 6 potatoes to the mix! They gave some pretty good sized crab legs, the corn was good and not mushy, and the potatoes were those small little round red boiling potatoes. It wasn’t as flavorful as Hot N’ Juicy, BUT, it was still SO DELICIOUS! We also added on a “basket” of chicken tenders and french fries! This was also very good! The chicken was very crispy and it was white meat chicken! The french fries were crispy and big. So good.

Prices are a little high, as expected when you’re ordering seafood. The king crab legs were $25 a lb, which is about the same price as Costco, so not severely marked up or anything and the basket of  chicken and fries were $10 (for a pretty large portion of chicken and fries).
